I chanced upon this word when i saw it in one of my Macroeconomics lecture slides. The slide has made me put on my thinking cap. It says:
Rational Choice
-People weigh the costs and benefit of each possibility.
-In the case of an individual, the rationality assumption is taken to mean he/she either
-makes choices and decisions in pursuit of his own self interest, or
-acts efficiently in pursuit of whatever aims or objectives he/she holds.
