The recent Starhub Cable Vision price increase has been the talk of the town. The saga sparked many angry comments from viewers in the forum. Most of the people swore to cancel their subscription while others, like me, have no choice but to keep our subscription because Starhub is the only company with legal rights to English Premier League. It doesnt affect me that much anyway cuz i am not the one paying but i just dun like Starhub's way of doing things. Not that i condone of wat starhub is doing now, but being the monoply, they could well afford to increase their price because no one is able to match them. Until recently i saw in the Straits Times..
One of the pages i read had this Singtel advertisement:

I was laughing to myself when i saw this.
Then i flipped to the next page and i saw this:

OMG this is definitely good news for those not subscribing to sports channel because they can afford to switch to Singtel for the basic tier when Singtel launches its new programme.
When i flipped to the next page again, i was laughing out loud.

Come on Starhub, dun be a loser. You are able to bid 4times that of ESS for the EPL rights and u can tell ppl you are making a loss? If Singtel is able to fight with you for the rights after the contract for ur EPL rights are gone, i would gladly switch to Singtel.
